The Pegasus aftermarket system is designed for Big Twin/Sportster style motors, including those made between 1970 and 1999 with a cam ignition pickup or Twin Cam engines which Harley phased in after 1999. Specific engine types supported are:
- Panhead
- Shovelhead
- EVO style engines
- Twin Cam engines
The complete kit contains everything needed for turn-key replacement of a Harley carbureted fuel management and ignition system. Besides the throttle body assembly, which includes the injectors, fuel regulator, and ECU, the kit includes a high pressure fuel pump, petcock, coil, air cleaner assembly and filter, and all necessary wires and fuel lines. Also included are PerformanceFI's custom timing wheel and cam position sensor (for the EVO style engines).
Pegasus Twin Cam Kt
The Twin Cam kit contains everything needed for a turn-key replacement of a Harley-Davidson Twin Cam fuel management and ignition system. Besides the throttle body assembly, which includes the injectors, fuel regulator, and ECU, the kit includes a high pressure fuel pump, petcock, coil, air cleaner assembly and filter, and all necessary wires and fuel lines. Also included is our proprietary signal translation module that connects the Harley timing sensor to the ECU.
Magneti Marelli Replacement Kit
The Magneti Marelli kit is specifically designed to replace the fuel and ignition components on a Harley Davidson that is equipped with Magneti Marelli electronic fuel injection. Besides the throttle body assembly, which includes the injectors, fuel regulator, and ECU, the kit includes a coil, air cleaner assembly and filter, and all necessary wires and fuel lines. This kit does not contain the components that are already in the fuel tank like the fuel pump, filter, and petcock.
Delphi Replacement Kit
The Delphi kit is designed to replace the fuel and ignition components on a Harley Davidson that is equipped with Delphi's electronic fuel injection. Besides the throttle body assembly, which includes the injectors, and ECU, the kit includes a coil, air cleaner assembly and filter, and all necessary wires and fuel lines. This kit does not contain the components that are already in the fuel tank like the fuel pump, filter, regulator, and petcock.

Fuel Maps
The best way for us to show the power and performance of the Pegasus system is through dyno run graphs.
The graphs below come from Bill Chambers of Bill Chambers Racing (www.billchambersracing.com). Bill has been racing motorcycles for over 40 years and has worked on every type of VTwin there is. He runs the Pegasus system on his racing bikes and on his everyday motorcycles.
You can see that the Pegasus system delivers incredible horsepower and torque for everything from an 80 in EVO to a 151 Dual Throttle. Compare these numbers to what your carb is giving you.

Limited Warranty
PerformanceFI ("we") warrants that its Pegasus Fuel Injection System (the "System") will be delivered in working order free of defects in materials or workmanship.
What Does This Warranty Cover?
This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship for the parts that makeup the System.
What Does This Warranty Not Cover?
This warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damages due to use of the System. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
What is The Period of Coverage?
This warranty remains in force for one year from the date the System is delivered to the original purchaser.
Who Is Covered?
This warranty covers the purchaser of the original System on whose motorcycle the System is first installed and anyone else who owns the System during the warranty period.
What Will We Do to Correct Problems?
We will repair or replace free of charge any defective parts not the result of improper installation, incorrect use or misuse, accident, improper repair, or normal wear and tear.
How Do You Get Service?
Contact PFI on our Technical Support line (1-800-683-1519 ext 100 ) and describe the problem. You must return any parts that may be defective to us.
How Does State Law Relate to This Warranty?
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
The Pegasus software lets you completely control your motor's fuel management and ignition characteristics for all types of riding and starting conditions. With Pegasus, you can easily change the necessary settings with simple configuration commands. With Pegasus 7.0 software you can:
- Download different PFI map files to precisely fit your engine
- Alter fuel and ignition maps depending on your cam, pipes, and riding style
- Change parameters such as engine displacement, rev limit, v-angle, enrichment, starting parameters, and much, much more
- Collect engine data real-time and plot it
- Run closed loop on a dyno to create your own maps
- Diagnose problems
Although powerful, Pegasus software is easy to use. Only a few settings are needed to get you on the road to significant improvement over your carburetor. The Pegasus electronic control unit (ECU) comes loaded with the correct displacement and other settings just for your engine, making upgrades optional.
Installation and Use
Simply download the software here [add link to it]; install it on your laptop and attach your laptop to the serial port on the ECU. Upload the maps in your ECU and begin tweaking. Once finished, send the maps to the ECU, and you're ready to ride! Repeat until your bike performs exactly the way you want.
Fuel Map
This is an example of a typical "fuel map". To adjust one of the 256 points on the map, just drag the point around to change the fuel percentage or use the table editor to see the data in a tabular format. Changes can be sent automatically when you complete a page, or in batch mode after you have finished all of your changes.
